No. 22 Lions cruise past No. 26 Coe, 8-1

Jackie Shtemberg won at first singles and first doubles.

Orlando, FL... The College of New Jersey women's tennis team bounced back from its first defeat of the season to score a big win over a nationally-ranked opponent. The 22nd-ranked Lions handled 26th-ranked Coe College 8-1 on Tuesday as they wrapped up their spring trip.

The win puts TCNJ at 8-1 on the season, while the Kohawks slipped to 9-2.

TCNJ got off to a great start sweeping all three points in doubles and then took five of the six in singles.

Double winners for the Lions in the match were Jackie Shtemberg (Franklin Lakes, NJ/Ramapo)Karisse Bendijo (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township), and Allison Tierney (Berkeley Heights, NJ / Governor Livingston).
