Galloway, NJ...The College of New Jersey women's tennis team pushed its impressive conference winning streak to 138 straight on Wednesday as the Lions handled Richard Stockton College 9-0 on Wednesday.

TCNJ is now 2-0 in conference play and on the season, while the Ospreys are 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

The first-singles match was a family affair as sisters Karisse Bendijo (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) of TCNJ and Krystle Bendijo (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/ Egg Harbor Twp.) of Stockton faced off, with Karisse, the 2010 NJAC Player of the Year, prevailing 6-1, 6-2.

Prior to their singles duel, the Bendijo sisters also squared off at No. 1 doubles. Karisse Bendijo and Allison Tierney (Berkeley Heights, NJ/Governor Livingston) topped Krystle and Laura Church (Wall, NJ/Ranney School) 8-1 to spark a doubles sweep for TCNJ. At second doubles, Paige Aiello (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) and Deborah Wu (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) won 8-0 and the duo of Alex Bologno (Point Pleasant/Point Pleasant Beach) and Emily Petersack (Mercerville, NJ/Notre Dame) also won by that same score in the third position.

Wu, Petersack, and Bologno all posted 6-0, 6-0 shutouts for the Lions in singles, while Tierney and Aiello notched singles wins by identical 6-1, 6-0 scores for TCNJ as well.

The Lions have a busy weekend ahead as they compete in the two-day Trinity Tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
