Ewing, NJ ... The College of New Jersey football team will host Kean University in the featured event on Homecoming Day in a New Jersey Athletic Conference showdown.
Kickoff is set for Saturday at 2 p.m. The Lions (2-4, 1-3 NJAC) are seeking their first home victory of the season, while the Cougars (4-2, 4-0 NJAC) look to remain unbeaten in conference play as they continue their quest for a repeat championship.
The last two times these programs matched up, team defense to center stage. TCNJ defeated Kean 7-0 in their last visit to Lions' Stadium in 2010. Last season, the Cougars edged the Lions 7-6, a victory that propelled them to a conference title.

The men's soccer team will open competition on Saturday as they take on New Jersey City University at 11 a.m. in TCNJ's Soccer Complex. At 11:30 a.m., a dedication ceremony will take place at TCNJ's Softball Complex. Institutional dignitaries and a proud legion of softball alums will gather to celebrate the naming of Dr. June Walker Field.
