Radnor, PA… The College of New Jersey field hockey team received goals from five different players to stay undefeated as the Lions garnered a 5-1 road victory at Cabrini College on Thursday.
Third-ranked TCNJ is now 10-0 on the season and dating back to last fall they have won 24 consecutive games. The loss dropped the Cavaliers to 5-6.
The Lions opened the scoring 13:32 into the contest with senior
Camille Passucci (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) netting her third of the season with an assist from sophomore
Victoria Martin (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson).
TCNJ doubled that advantage late in the half as they earned four penalty corners in the final 84 seconds. The final two of those came with time expired and on the second of those senior
Caitlyn Jenkins (Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway) converted. That goal was her fourth of the year and
Jillian Nealon (Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central) picked up an assist on the play.
The second half saw a flurry of goals within an eight-minute span with TCNJ grabbing a 3-0 lead thanks to sophomore
Lauren Pigott (Jobstown, NJ/Northern Burlington). Pigott picked up her first tally of the season on an assist from classmate
Erin Healy (Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Manasquan). That goal came 10:47 into the new half.
Cabrini quickly got that goal right back scoring 51 seconds later bringing the difference back to two goals.
Nealon and Martin then scored exactly three minutes apart making it a 5-1 game with less than 20 minutes in the second frame. Nealon has been one of the hottest goal scorers in the country, scoring at least one goal in nine of the team's 10 games and has already scored 16 times this season.
Nealon, Martin, and Jenkins each finished with one goal and one assist for TCNJ.
Freshman
Roisin Dougherty (Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) made one save for her ninth win of the season.

th nationally and boast a record of 11-1, including wins in their last night games. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Lions' Stadium.
