Brockport, NY … Three touchdown passes of 40 or more yards led The College at Brockport to a 41-17 victory over The College of New Jersey football team on Saturday afternoon in Brockport, NY.
 
Joe Scibilia threw for five touchdown passes and 366 yards to lead the Golden Eagles (3-0, 1-0 NJAC) to their third consecutive win.  The Lions (1-2, 0-1 NJAC) were in the mix, trailing 14-10 with just over two minutes remaining in the half following a Derick Hughes (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) 42-yard field goal. But a 69-yard scoring strike two plays later put the host in control at the intermission, an advantage they would never relinquish.
 
Senior Justin Doniloski (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) had a solid game, rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown while freshman Victor Scalici (Freehold, NJ/Colts) ran for 55 yards and his first career touchdown. Senior Daniel Dugan (Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) completed 22-of-37 passes for 130 yards and Matthew Della-Croce (Langhorne, Pa/Conwell Egan) came in to connect on 6-of-11 passes for 47 yards.
 
Brockport got on the board early when Scibilia tossed his first touchdown pass from 11 yards on their opening drive. The Lions the capitalized on a turnover when junior Johne Ringo (Pohatcong, NJ/Phillipsburg) recovered a fumble off a Hughes punt deep in Golden Eagle territory. TCNJ went 30 yards on eight plays capped by a two-yard run by Doniloski to tie the game 7-7.
 
Five minutes into the second period, Scibilia connected with Joseph Innes for a 57-yard touchdown pass to regain the lead. Hughes drew the Lions within four when he split the uprights with 2:32 left in the half, but another long TD by Brockport stretched their lead to 21-10 at the half.
 
On the first play from scrimmage to open the second half, Tyrone Nichols raced 55 yards for a back-breaking TD score that put TCNJ behind by 18. They responded with a 12-play, 77-yard drive as Scalici raced in from three yards for his first collegiate touchdown. But that would be all the offense the Lions could manufacture. The Golden Eagles picked off four passes in the game and broke up eight more pass attempts in their secondary.
 
Junior Nick Bricker (Middletown, NJ/Middletown South) led the Lions' defense with 14 tackles (five solo) and a sack in the game. Senior Greg Burns (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton West) finished with 10 tackles, and junior Sean Clark (Mays Landing, NJ/St. Joseph's Hammonton) compiled eight tackles, a sack for a nine-yard loss, and forced a fumble. Senior Michael Lambert (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) finished with eight tackles.
 
Senior Glenn Grainger (Island Heights, NJ/Holmdel) caught four passes for 29 yards and fellow senior Matthew Rosati (Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) nabbed three receptions for 26 yards and also had a 15-yard rush.
 
TCNJ will take its bye week and return to action on Saturday, September 29 at Western Connecticut State University. The Lions return home the following weekend to host SUNY Cortland on Saturday, October 6 in Lions' Stadium. The game is scheduled for a noon kickoff.
