Five minutes into the second period, Scibilia connected with Joseph Innes for a 57-yard touchdown pass to regain the lead. Hughes drew the Lions within four when he split the uprights with 2:32 left in the half, but another long TD by Brockport stretched their lead to 21-10 at the half.
On the first play from scrimmage to open the second half,
Tyrone Nichols raced 55 yards for a back-breaking TD score that put TCNJ behind by 18. They responded with a 12-play, 77-yard drive as Scalici raced in from three yards for his first collegiate touchdown. But that would be all the offense the Lions could manufacture.
