Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey women's tennis team added another title to its impressive streak of winning the New Jersey Athletic Conference as the Lions secured a pair of wins on Saturday.
 
TCNJ started the day with a 9-0 road win at William Paterson University and then traveled a little farther north to win by that same scored at Ramapo College. Those two wins secured the 2012 NJAC title as the Lions have won each conference championship since it began sponsoring the sport in 1982. By claiming the title, TCNJ also earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division III Championships, which will take place in May.
 
The Lions also extended their winning streak against conference opponents to 147 straight. TCNJ will look to add one more win to that streak on Sunday when it wraps up conference play at Rutgers-Camden.
 
TCNJ's entire line-up went a combined 4-0 on the day. The doubles pairings of Karisse Bendijo (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) and Paige Aiello (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough), Deborah Wu (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) and Jasmine Muniz-Cadorette (Union, NJ/Union, and Lauren Balsamo (Wall Twp., NJ/Wall) and Alex Bologno (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant Beach) each won both of their matches.
 
In singles, each Lion won both of their matches starting with Bendijo, Wu, Aiello, Muniz-Cadorette, Balsamo, and Tara Criscuolo (Westfield, NJ/Westfield).
