Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey won twice in doubles and claimed victories in the top three singles positions to lock up a 5-4 triumph over visiting SUNY New Paltz on Wednesday.
The win put TCNJ at 14-2, while the Hawks fell to 13-4.
The first doubles team of
Alex Bologno (Pt. Pleasant, NJ/Pt. Pleasant Beach) and
Tara Criscuolo (Westfield, NJ/Westfield) outlasted their opponents 9-8 (7-4) and second pairing of
Allison Tierney (Berkeley Heights, NJ/Gov. Livingston) and
Sarah Lippincott (Millville, NJ/Millville) won by the score of 8-4.
The Lions rattled off wins in the top three singles positions with Tierney winning in the first position, followed by
Jasmine Muniz-Cadorette (Union, NJ/Union) in the second spot and Bologno in the third.
TCNJ wraps up the regular season on Saturday, April 24 as the Lions host SUNY Geneseo at noon.
