Ewing, NJ… The winning ways for The College of New Jersey women's tennis team continued against conference opponents on Saturday as the Lions won twice to extend their impressive streak to 153 consecutive wins.
 
TCNJ started the day with a 9-0 win against Rutgers-Newark and then topped William Paterson University, 7-2.
 
The Lions have won each New Jersey Athletic Conference match since the program began sponsoring the sport in 1982. The team now looks to wrap up its 31^st straight conference title on Sunday, when Rutgers-Camden visits Ewing. A win in that match would also lock up the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament next spring. The Lions are 5-0 on the season with all of those matches against NJAC schools.
 
The loss knocked Rutgers-Newark to 2-4 overall and 0-4 in the NJAC, while William Paterson is 2-4 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
 
The Lions swept all nine points against the Scarlet Raiders, while winning seven of the nine points against the Pioneers.
 
Winning twice in singles for the Lions were sophomore Jasmine Muniz-Cadorette (Union, NJ/Union), Senior Tara Criscuolo (Westfield, NJ/Westfield), sophomore Emma Allen (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown), junior Sarah Lippincott (Millville, NJ/Millville), and freshman Anna Prestera (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat).
 
The top doubles pairing of Muniz-Cadorette and freshmen Katie Buchbinder (Scotch Plains, NJ/Wardlaw-Hartridge) along with the third tandem of Lippincott and Allen each were 2-0 on the day.
