Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey women's tennis team notched big victory on Sunday as the Lions defeated Ithaca College on Sunday.
 
The win helped the Lions reach double figures in victories as they moved to 10-5 on the season. The loss dropped the Bombers to 12-4.
 
TCNJ picked up a pair of points in doubles with the top team of sophomore Jasmine Muniz-Cadorette (Union, NJ/Union) and classmate Emma Allen (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) winning 8-4, while the third team of and junior Sarah Lippincott (Millville, NJ/Millville) and freshman Anna Prestera (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) collected an 8-6 triumph.
 
In singles, Ithaca won the first position, but the hosts responded by winning the final five slots to earn the win. Earning victories in the second through sixth positions were freshman Katie Buchbinder (Scotch Plains, NJ/Wardlaw-Hartridge), senior Tara Criscuolo (Westfield, NJ/Westfield), Allen, Prestera, and Lippincott.
 
The Lions return to action on Wednesday, April 16 hosting New York University.
