Camden, NJ... The College of New Jersey women's tennis team opened the season by adding to its growing New Jersey Athletic Conference winning streak as the Lions posted a 9-0 triumph at Rutgers-Camden on Sunday.

The season-opening victory pushed their conference winning streak to 155 straight dating back to the 1982 season. The loss dipped the Scarlet Raptors to 1-2.

TCNJ (1-0) swept all three points in doubles action with the top pairing junior
Jasmine Muniz-Cadorette (Union, NJ/Union) and classmate
Emma Allen (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) rolling to an 8-0 win, while the third tandem of sophomores
Katie Buchbinder (Scotch Plains, NJ/Wardlaw-Hartridge) and
Anna Prestera (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) won by that identical score.

In the second slot, freshmen
Maddy Stoner (Ewing, NJ/Ewing) and
Nadia Olesnycky (Florham Park, NJ/Academy of St. Elizabeth) teamed up for an 8-2 win. That win was their first as a Lion.

The Lions then took all six points in singles play with Muniz-Cadorette, Buchbinder, Allen, Stoner and Prestera each adding their second wins of the day, while freshman
Brittany Reedman (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) earned her first collegiate win at third singles.
