Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey women's tennis team doubled up visiting New York University on Wednesday as they earned a 6-3 win.
 
The win pushed TCNJ's record to 11-1 on the season and they are a lofty 8-0 at home this season.
 
The loss dropped the Violets to 4-3.
 
The Lions got off to a good start taking two points in doubles play. The second pairing of freshmen Brittany Reedman (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) and Maddy Stoner (Ewing, NJ/Ewing) had the most exciting win as they came out on top 9-8 (7-5). The team rallied from a 7-4 deficit to secure the point.
 
TCNJ's other win in doubles came in the third position with sophomore Anna Prestera (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) and freshman Danna Tsay (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) picked up an 8-1 decision.
 
The Lions picked up four more points in singles play as Reedman, sophomore Katie Buchbinder (Scotch Plains, NJ/Wardlaw-Hartridge), Stoner and Prestera each won.
 
The Lions enters the final weekend of the regular season with two more home matches. TCNJ hosts Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of Technology on Saturday, April 18 and then a day later face Franklin & Marshall College.
