Ewing, NJ … For the second consecutive day, The College of New Jersey women's tennis team pulled off an upset, defeating 27
th-ranked Brandeis University 5-4 on Saturday at the TCNJ Tennis Complex.

One day removed from topping the 27
th-ranked Division II program, the Lions turned back the number 27 team amongst Division III programs.

Junior
Anna Prestera (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) and
Sneha Rangu (East Windsor, NJ/Mercer County Health Science) shook off unfavorable opening sets to rally and sweep the final two sets to propel the Lions to victory. TCNJ raised its 2015-16 match record to 8-0, while the Judges fell to 1-4.

Prestera suffered a 6-1 loss at sixth singles, but regrouped to post 6-3 and 6-4 wins to claim the match. At third singles, Rangu was blanked in the first set. She retaliated with a 6-4 triumph in the second set before capturing six of seven games to secure the match.

TCNJ's top two singles players also registered victories. Sophomore
Brittany Reedman (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) won in straight sets 6-0, 7-6 (6-4) and senior
Emma Allen (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 straight set victory.

Freshman
Alyssa Baldi (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) joined Prestera to register the lone doubles victory for the Lions as they tallied an 8-6 win.

TCNJ will look to sustain its momentum when they visit Johns Hopkins University next Friday for a 12:00 p.m. match in Fredericksburg, Va.
