Ewing, NJ … The College of New Jersey women's tennis team fell in the 2016 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship Tournament second round at Middlebury College.

The loss brings the Lions' season to a close as they finished 13-5 overall. They had advanced to the second round of the tournament after shutting out Baruch College, 5-0 yesterday. The Panthers improved to 14-4 and move on to the NCAA Tournament Regional Final against Johns Hopkins University.

TCNJ competed in the NCAA championships for the 28
th consecutive year. The received an automatic bid by winning the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship earlier this fall for the 33
rd straight year. The complete of the season also marked the end of two exceptional careers by seniors
Emma Allen and
Jasmine Muniz-Cadorette.
