Box Score EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey women's tennis team won nine of 12 matches Saturday in the Lions Singles Tournament. The Lions took four of six from New York University and five of six from University of the Sciences.
 
Alyssa Baldi was the star for the Lions winning a tight match over her opponent from NYU before winning 6-1, 6-0 over a foe from USciences. The wins were the 99^th and 100^th in her TCNJ career.
 
Only one tenth of the way to that milestone is freshman Liya Davidov. Davidov won both of her matches today in straight sets to improve to 10-0 on the year.
 
Navya Yemula and Mackenzie Holleran each won in their lone action. Yemula won in straight sets 6-3, 6-1. Holleran fought back from down a set, winning 3-6, 6-2, 10-4.
 
Katrine Luddy and Sarah Phung each split their pair of matches.
 
The Lions will host the doubles portion of the tournament tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. with Dickinson College joining today's teams.
