EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey women's swimming and diving team suffered its first setback of the season Saturday afternoon falling 180-114 to Rowan University on senior day. The Lions drop to 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in NJAC competition. The 22
nd-ranked Profs improved to 6-3 overall and close out the conference season at 5-0.

The Lions fell behind early as the Profs claimed the top spot in the 200-Medley relay.
Zoe Chan,
Chiara Mennonna,
Kori Jelinek, and
Rachel Hannah finished second with a time of 1:50.41.
Annie Menninger was the Lions top finisher in the 1,000-Free with a time of 11:10.10 for third.
Cameron Carrazza was third in the 200-Free with a time of 2:01.63.

Rowan's winning streak extended to the 100-Back.
Meagan Healey paced the Lions with a third place finish in 1:01.96. Rowan followed with a sweep in the 100-Breast.

Chan got the Lions in the win column in the 200-Fly. She touched the wall at 2:06.86.
Shannon Hesse carried the momentum into the 50-Free with a winning swim of 24.60.

Out of the break, Hesse and Hannah went two-three in the 100-Free. The pair stopped the clock at 55.75 and 55.78. Healy then won the 200-back in 2:13.40, out-touching a Prof by .06. Menninger then went second in the 200-Breast in 2:31.44. Faith Cortright was third in the 500-Free with a time of 5:28.46.

Chan won her second event of the day with a time of 57.53 in the 100-Fly, followed by Kori Jelenik finishing second in 59.71.

In the 3-Meter,
Hailey Stack scored 213.90 for second.

Out of the second break, Chan continued her individual dominance with a 2:12.23 swim in the 200-IM.

The Lions ended the meet with a second place finish of 3:44.78 time in the 400-Free relay from the team of Carrazza,
Kazia Moore, Hesse, and Hannah.

The Lions close out the regular season Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. with a trip to William Paterson University.
