PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its selections for weekly women's swimming and diving awards on Monday.
Zoe Chan,
Gabi Valladares, and
Maya Hedstrom swept the conference's weekly awards for The College of New Jersey. The trio were named NJAC Swimmer of the Week, NJAC Diver of the Week, and NJAC Rookie of the Week respectively.

The trio helped the Lions win their season-opening dual meet over William Paterson. The team swam in a virtual event this past Saturday.

Chan won all three individual events she was entered in, starting with the 100-fly. Chan touched the wall at 58.98, currently the best time in the conference and 16
th-fastest in the nation. She then won the 50-fly with a time of 27.09. That time is also best in the conference and ranks 16
th nationally. Chan's third win of the day came in the 200-IM. Chan swam a time of 2:14.73, another conference best. The reigning NJAC Swimmer of the Year was named NJAC Swimmer of the Week seven times a season ago.

Valladares posted conference-best scores on both the 1- and 3-meter. Her score of 240.75 on the 3-meter ranks seventh nationally, and her score of 195.60 on the 1-meter ranks 27
th nationally. The sophomore was named NJAC Diver of the Week twice in her first season.

Hedstrom swam the second leg of the Lions winning 200-free relay in her first collegiate meet. Her time in the 50-free would have been third in the meet if she was not exhibitioned. Her time in the 50-free ranks 6th in the NJAC among all swimmers and is first among all freshmen.

The Lions will be back in action with another virtual meet against Ramapo on Saturday.
