HAMPTON, Va. – On the final day of this year's NJAC Championships, the Lions secured another sweep in diving to end the four-day meet on a high note.
Just as they did in the 1-meter a few days ago,
Beth Evaldi,
Melody Lin, and
Jenna Ringel went 1-2-3 in the 3-meter on the final day. Evaldi set a new NJAC Championship meet record with her mark of 431.15, which was an A cut score as well. Lin earned a score of 353.60 while Ringel got a 309.60.
In swimming,
Sarah Mandy was up first in the 1650 freestyle, where she placed sixth (17:48.67).
Bridget Cleveland swam in the A finals of the 200 backstroke, logging another top-ten finish for TCNJ. Cleveland finished in seventh with a lifetime-best mark of 2:08.63, shaving off almost two seconds off of her prelim time. Next, in the 200 breaststroke,
Katelyn Gaulin placed tenth overall in 2:27.98. The last event of the meet was the 400 freestyle relay, where Cleveland,
Lilliana Kuball,
Mary Kate Owens, and
Katie Mazzacco swam to a sixth-place finish in 3:35.34.
As a team, TCNJ amassed 753 points to finish in sixth place. The Lions ended 43 points behind fifth-place Montclair State and over 200 points ahead of the United States Merchant Marine Academy in seventh.
