Women's Tennis Claims NJAC Weekly Awards

PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its selections for weekly awards in the sport of women's tennis on Monday and TCNJ's Anusha Rangu and Chase Eisenberg were named NJAC Player of the Week and NJAC Rookie of the Week respectively.
 
Rangu was named NJAC Player of the Week for the first time in her career after a 3-0 week. In the NJAC semifinal against Kean, she won 8-1 at first doubles with teammate Liya Davidov. Playing at fourth singles, she won 6-0, 6-0. In the NJAC Championship match against Stockton, she won 6-1, 6-0 at fifth singles to secure the championship-clinching point.
 
Eisenberg earns her fourth weekly award after a 2-0 week. She won in doubles play 8-0 against Kean and 8-1 against Stockton. In singles play, Eisenberg was leading by a set in both of her matches when play was halted.
 
The Lions open play in the NCAA Tournament against Franciscan.
