LEXINGTON, Va. – In the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, the TCNJ women's tennis team fell to host Washington & Lee, 5-1. TCNJ concludes its 2021 season with an 11-1 record.
In doubles action,
Charlotte Roarty and
Jenny Landells won their match by an 8-4 final.
Liya Davidov and
Katrine Luddy dropped an 8-4 final score, while
Chase Eisenberg and
Alexa Vasile came just short in a tight 8-7 match in doubles number three.
In number one singles, Roarty fell in a close match, 7-5 and 3-1. Davidov dropped a close 7-6 final at singles in number two.
The NCAA Tournament appearance marked the 14
th consecutive one for TCNJ. The Lions also continued their NCAA-best 38-consecutive conference championship streak with their NJAC title this season.
