Season Stats: TCNJ/Babson

How We Got Here: TCNJ peaked at the right time, playing its best lacrosse in the NJAC Tournament. The Lions topped Rowan 19-12, then defeated 23rd-ranked Montclair State 16-6 to win their seventh-straight NJAC Tournament and 10th-straight NJAC Championship. Anna Wright scored a career-high seven goals against Rowan and Anna Devlin and Jillian Westerby each scored a career-high six goals in the championship game. Babson avenged its lone loss during the regular season in the NEWMAC Championship Game, defeating Springfield 22-4.

Tournament Experience: TCNJ enters the NCAA Tournament as the most decorated team in the field. The Lions have won a record 12 NCAA Division III National Championships and own an 87-22 all-time record in the tournament. This year's team does not have the same experience level as a typical TCNJ team, as only Erin Jaffe and Kaela Sierra saw action when the Lions competed in the NCAA Tournament in 2019. TCNJ has advanced to the round of 16 in every NCAA Tournament and made the quarterfinals in 34 of 35 seasons.

Looking Ahead: The winner of this game will turn around and make the return trip to Maine where they will play the winner of Western Connecticut State and Johnson & Wales in the round of 16.

Scouting Babson: The Beavers are making their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2018. Senior Georgia Salvatore leads the team with 14 goals and 22 points. Erin Jayne and Claudia Dodge each scored 11 goals this year. Valarie Quinlan is the key to the Babson draw, she compiled 21 draws this season, including a career-high 12 in the NEWMAC Championship.
