EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ men's swimming and diving team maintained their dominant ways on the second day of the 2022 TCNJ Invitational, by still leading all teams with 937 points as Saturday concluded.

The Lions swept all eight events competed in the finals and diving, highlighted by two school records being broken and six Division III 'B-Cut' qualifying times being swum throughout the day.

Sophomore Ryan Higgins broke a school record of his own later in the day, becoming the top men's 400 IM swimmer in TCNJ history with his time of 3:56.91 in the finals session. The time also clinched a 'B-Cut' qualifier for Higgins in the event.

The Lions 200 medley A relay team kicked off the finals session with emphasis by hitting the 'B-Cut' mark in the timed finals. The quartet of Andrew Kidchob, Ryan VanDeVeen, Richard Park and McChesney combined for a time of 1:29.66.

In the 200 Free Championship finals, senior Matt Watts took the win after clocking a 1:43.45, narrowly edging out teammate Milo Whitley who finished second at 1:43.87.

The 100 breaststroke belonged to Ryan VanDeVeen, who clinched the top spot by touching the wall at 56.90. Senior Patrick Sullivan rounded out the top-three with a third place time of 57.40.

Kidchob took his first win and second top-two individual finish of the night by winning the 100 backstroke with a time of 51.61. Sophomore Jonah Herring took third place with a time of 52.96.
