STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Karla Gomez-Matos extended her long jump prowess and the distance medley relay put up an impressive time for the TCNJ women's track and field team at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet on Friday night.

Gomez-Matos, who won the long jump with a then-PR of 5.21 meters at the NJAC indoor championship, continued her ascent with a 5.29-meter mark on her sixth and final attempt of the night. Her effort, which was enough to win the event, puts her atop the Metro Region and into the top-20 in the AARTFC.

Jazzlyn Diaz, Erin Buquicchio, Sameerah Khan, and Salini Iyer turned in a strong effort in the distance medley relay at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, jumping up to 25th on the national performance list with a time of 12:47.35.

Kayley Harnett and Abigail Pfaff split second-place honors at the NJAC indoor meet in the high jump and did so again on Friday, matching their mark from last weekend at 1.56 meters.

Nicole Lester, fresh off an NJAC title in the pole vault, cleared 3.37 meters.

Buquicchio was just off her PR in the 400-meter dash (1:00.49).

Sarah Tuohy logged a new personal best with a 2:28.81 in the 800.

Zoe Iovino leaped 10.56 meters in the triple jump.
