BOSTON – The TCNJ women's track and field team's 4x400-meter relay team capitalized on Sunday's last chance meet at Boston University, giving the top time in Division III – and the school record – a serious run.
Maria Grill,
Alli Uhl,
Eliza Bruncaj, and
Amanda Demko sizzled in the 4x400, clocking a 3:50.13 to move into 2
nd in all of Division III this season before adjustments for track size. All posted breakneck splits, with Grill (58.232) leading off and followed by Uhl (57.374), Bruncah (57.219), and Demko (57.296).
Bruncaj also shined in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a personal-best 9.13 in the finals heat. The time is good for 10
th in the AARTFC and tied for 42
nd in the nation.
Demko notched a 57.94 in her 400-meter dash heat.
Grill led a trio of Lions with a 25.43 in the 200-meter dash, with
Ashlyn MacLure (25.99) and
Valandra Riggins (26.39) each running to a new personal best.
TCNJ competes at the AARTFC Championships starting on Friday.
