UNION, N.J. – The TCNJ women's swimming team cruised to a 146-80 NJAC victory at Kean in its regular-season finale on Saturday.
Zoe Chan (50/100 fly),
Megan Healey (50/100 back), and
Shannon Hesse (50/200 free) each posted two individual victories to lead the Lions (5-2, 4-1).
Rachel Hannah,
Haley Crispell,
Jamie Bowne, and
Brianna Hatzold won the 200 medley relay in 1:55.01 to open the meet.
Faith Cortright followed with a victory in the 500 free, where her time of 5:34.14 was enough to edge teammate
Sarah Burton (5:37.80) for first.
Healey grabbed the first of her two victories in the 100 back (1:05.40), narrowly outpacing teammate
Sofia Harty (1:05.77) in a thrilling finish.
Chan dominated in the 50 fly, finishing in 26.39 seconds.
Kori Jelinek came in second with a time of 28.35.
Hesse's time of 24.71 was two seconds clear of runner-up
Cameron Carrazza (26.70) in the 50 free.
Hannah captured the 100 free in 55.34, with Hatzold in second at 57.74.
Healey doubled up with a 30.38-second swim in the 50 free, and Hesse completed her double with a 2:03.17 in the 200 free, where Cortright was second in 2:05.70.
Chan cruised to another win in the 100 fly (57.47).
Bowne was a close second in the 200 IM (2:19.38).
Carrazza, Hannah, Chan, and Hesse closed out the meet with an easy win in the 200 free relay (1:41.65).
