10/31/2026 7:57:00 PM

EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's swimming and diving team rattled off their second consecutive win on Saturday, defeating the Ramapo Roadrunners 199-61. Two rookies, Tammy Leng and Zoe Midura shined on the weekend by accounting for eight total victories.

The Lions placed first in all but two events against Ramapo, with rookies Leng and Midura headlining the meet with four wins each. Three of Leng's victories came in individual races: the 1000 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, and 200 backstroke. Leng also led off the 400 freestyle relay in 57 seconds to claim a relay win with Sarah Mandy, Katie Mazzacco, and Mary Kate Owens. Owens and Mazzacco were also part of TCNJ's winning 400 medley relay, where they were joined by rookies Ruby Schuster and Zoe Midura for the first-place finish in 4:14.46.

On top of contributing to the 400 medley's victory, Midura also logged a trio of individual wins: the 200 freestyle (2:01.12), 100 freestyle (55.85), and 100 butterfly (1:01.22). Schuster also joined the multi-win club later, finishing first place in the 200 breaststroke (2:41.62).

Ramapo's Madison Benefield and Sovy Taylor picked up Ramapo's two wins in succession after Shayna Jaroslaw's win in the 100 backstroke (1:06.29). TCNJ made sure, however to take first place in every event until the end of the meet. To close out the individual events, Katie Mazzacco and Lilliana Kuball picked up a win each in the 500 freestyle and 200 IM respectively for the Lions' veterans.

For the Lions' divers, Hannah Simons and Jenna Ringel shared the top two spots in both the 1-meter and 3-meter. Simons logged the higher score in the 1-meter with a 219.23, and Ringel came out on top in the 3-meter with a 265.88.

With their second win of the year behind them, the Lions look ahead to their road trips next weekend. The diving squad will be in action next Friday and Saturday in the NYU Diving Invite in New York City, and the swimmers will travel to face off against No. 18 Salisbury in Maryland.
