PITMAN, N.J. – For her part in a pair of big wins for the TCNJ women's tennis team, Alexa Vasile was selected as the NJAC player of the week, the league office announced Monday.

Vasile enjoyed a tremendous week for the Lions, going 2-0 at No. 3 singles and 2-0 at No. 2 doubles as TCNJ swept Washington College and took down nationally ranked NYU.

Vasile won the first set, 6-3, on Friday against Washington College's Piper Sartison before her opponent retired, and teamed with Chase Eisenberg for an 8-2 defeat of Sartison and Maria Cristina Diaz-Nazario at the second doubles flight.

On Saturday against the 28^th-ranked Violets, Vasile and Eisenberg routed Phoebe Su and Jamaica Buyse, 8-1, and Vasile followed with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Emily Baxter in singles play.
