INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Zoe Chan narrowly missed qualifying for the consolation finals of the 100 fly at the NCAA Championships on Thursday, placing 20
th overall in the morning prelims session.
Chan clocked a time of 55.84, just .13 seconds out of the top-16 placement she needed to advance to the night finals session. An NCAA qualifier and CSCAA All-American in the 100 fly in 2020, Chan broke an 11-year-old program record in the event with a 54.95 at the Metropolitan Conference Championships.
Chan still has one event left to swim at the national meet. She is slated to compete in the prelims of the 200 fly, where she is seeded 19
th, on Friday morning.
