ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The TCNJ men's track and field team posted a pair of place-winning relays on the first day of the All-Atlantic Region Indoor Championships on Friday.
The Lions picked up seven team points for the night, good for 11th in a field of 25 programs.
Roman Rychkov,
Andrew Lodge,
Tyler Scott, and
Alex Amoia placed third in the 4x400-meter relay, finishing in a time of 3:20.48 to fall just .15 ticks behind Ursinus in second. Scott had the best split of the night with a 49.68 in his leg.
The Lions made it a pair of place-winning relays with an eighth-place showing in the distance medley relay from
Andrew Chamberlain,
Andrew Gratti,
Fabian Mestanza, and
John Raisley (10:36.65).
Thomas Domozych led three Lion sprinters with a time of 7.10 seconds in the 60-meter dash, landing in 12
th place and missing the finals by just .02 seconds.
Ray Schmitt fell just shy of his PR with a 7.18, and
Tyler Scott clocked a 7.21.
James Blair was just off his personal-best pace in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing his hat in 8.63 seconds. Blair placed third at the NJAC championship in 8.59.
George Agyei-Sam finished 19
th in the shot put at 12.83 meters.
