ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The TCNJ men's track and field team had a pair of individual place-winners and an eighth-place relay on the second and final day of competition at the AARTFC Indoor Championships on Saturday.
The Lions accrued 15 total points to finish in a tie for 15
th in the team standings.
Kevin Christensen placed fifth in the mile at 4:13.34, while
Michael Rodriguez (4:20.11) and
Stuart Gruters (4:20.15) went step-for-step and landed just outside of scoring range in 10
th and 11
th, respectively.
Alex Amoia placed seventh in the 800 (1:56.30), where
Roman Rychkov was 11
th (1:57.07).
Andrew Lodge was the first one out of scoring range in the 400-meter dash, crossing the line in 50.19 seconds to land in ninth place overall.
Jack Ennis also nearly placed in the 3,000 meters, falling just a couple seconds shy in 10
th but coming away with a personal best at 8:38.31.
Tyler Scott took 14
th in the 200-meter dash (22.87), and
Jahmir Anderson tied for 15
th in the high jump (1.82 meters).
Lodge,
Justin Gomez,
Ray Schmitt, and
Tom Domozych finished the meet by taking eighth place in the 4x200-meter relay (1:33.18).
