EWING, NJ. - The TCNJ women's track and field team was back on its home track for some great performances on Saturday as the Lions hosted their annual outdoor invitational.

Jessica Reilly threw an impressive hammer throw for the Lions, coming in second place with a throw of 42.66 meters. Jean Walter (39.18m), Emily Diszler (38.18m), Jolie Sheerin (36.88m), and Kerri McCarthy (35.28m) finished in fifth through eighth place, respectively. 

Karla Gomez-Matos highlighted an impressive field effort for the Lions in the long jump, finishing in second with a jump of 5.10 meters. 

Also in the field, Amanda Murillo finished first in the javelin with a throw of 41.17 meters. Meagan Scherer came in fifth with a throw of 31.86 meters. 

Kerri McCarthy marked a new PR in the shot put with a throw of 11.42 meters.

On the track, Lea Martin (20:27.73), Nicole Arita (20:33.83), and Camryn Tomao (20:58.55) debuted in the outdoor 5,000 meters with fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-place finishes. 

In the 400 meter hurdles, Victoria Purritano snagged a PR (1:06.04) for first place followed by Sameerah Khan in second with a time of 1:10.19.

Sarah Hobbs' 1:03.34 was a PR in the 400 meter that was good for sixth place, just behind Erin Buquicchio at 1:02.57. 

In the 1500 meters, Jazzlyn Diaz clocked in at 4:58.85 for second place followed by Kelsey Kobus in third (5:00.11). Cassidy Quinn's time of 5:03.82 was good for fifth place and a new PR.

Maria Grill secured a first-place finish in the 200 meters (25.38) with Amanda Demko right behind her for a second-place finish (25.80). 

Liz Lam finished the day with a PR in the 200 meters (27.76) and in the 100 meters (13.30). 

The Lions will be back next week at the Osprey Open at Stockton University.
