PHILADELPHIA – The TCNJ women's track and field team saw a 17-year-old school record go down with a historic performance at the Penn Relays on Friday.

Maria Grill, and
Valandra Riggins clocked a 47.98 in the 4x100-meter relay, placing 13
th overall in the College heat. The time was just off their season best of 47.90 and lands ninth in program history, giving that quartet two of the top-10 marks in school history this spring.
That foursome came back about an hour later for their record-breaking run in the 4x200 relay, finishing in 1:40.47 to land behind only Division I Delaware State and Miami (Ohio). The time replaced the former record of 1:40.83, which had stood since 2005.
Demko joined
Eliza Bruncaj, Grill, and
Alli Uhl to finish 21
st in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:56.44. The time put the Lions' unit ahead of Division I entrants Delaware, George Mason, LIU-Brooklyn, and NJIT and was nearly 2.50 seconds faster than a group from NJAC rival Rowan.
