LA CROSSE, Wisc. – On the first day of the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Lucia Garcia-Beltran and Mackenzie Burke were in competition for the TCNJ women's track and field squad.
 
Garcia-Beltran ran in the prelims of the 200, the first of three events on the docket for her this week. She placed 13^th in 24.55, securing herself an All-American honor. Burke ran in the 400 hurdles, but was unfortunately disqualified in the event during her run in the first heat.
 
Both athletes now look forward to tomorrow's 4x100 prelims, where they will run with Petra Doherty and Kelsey Thomas for a shot in Saturday's final.
