PHILADELPHIA – The TCNJ men's track and field team competed in two places at once on Friday, sending a relay and a few sprinters to the Temple Invite while a contingent of field athletes opened up at Stockton's Osprey Open and Multi.
In Philadelphia,
Ray Schmitt,
Tyler Scott,
Justin Gomez, and
Andrew Lodge cracked the 42-second mark in the 4x100-meter relay, coming in at 41.98.
Lodge (11.00), Schmitt (11.04), and Gomez (11.15) all notched new personal bests in the 100-meter dash as well.
Alexander Bogues led the Lions' throwers on the first day of the Osprey Open, tossing a personal-best 49.48 meters in the javelin.
Andrew Ellis was right behind at 49.43 meters, while
Jonnathan Moreira added a full meter to his personal best with a mark of 48.89 meters.
Warlys Lizardo was 10
th in the hammer throw (39.38m), where Brando Kuse added over 2.50 meters to his career best with a heave of 35.28 meters.
Luke Schrank-Garcia also netted a substantial PR at 34.05 meters, over four meters clear of his former individual standard.
