PHILADELPHIA – The TCNJ women's track and field team competed in two places at once on Friday, sending a relay to the Temple Invite while a contingent of field athletes opened up at Stockton's Osprey Open and Multi.
In Philadelphia,
Amanda Demko,
Maria Grill,
Ashlyn MacLure, and
Valandra Riggins turned in a time of 48.04 in the 4x100-meter relay. The time was good for second in the heat and more than a second faster than a quartet from NJAC rival Rowan. It's the fastest clocking in the NJAC and Metro Region and currently ranks seventh on the NCAA outdoor performance list.
Back in New Jersey at the Osprey Open,
Meagan Scherer was fourth in the javelin with a mark of 33.10 meters, and
Lily Lorio produced a huge PR of nearly four meters (32.14m) to finish fifth.
Zoe Iovino placed fifth in the triple jump (10.71m), where
Eliza Bruncaj finished 11
th at 9.98 meters.
Jessica Reilly finished sixth in the hammer throw at 41.90 meters.
