BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The TCNJ women's track and field team wrapped up regional competition with a fifth-place finish and plenty of place-winners on the second and final day of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championship on Thursday at Moravian.
Eliza Bruncaj put together the best 400-meter hurdles race of her young career, crossing the line in 1:03.43 to finish in fourth place and vault into a tie for seventh in TCNJ history with a mark that ranks her 28
th in Division III.
Victoria Purritano also placed in the event, posting a career-best 1:03.93 to take over ninth in school history.

Amanda Demko,
Maria Grill, and
Valandra Riggins finished fourth in the 4x100-meter relay at 47.99. Their season-best time of 47.13 from the NJAC championship places them 11
th in Division III, in a good position to qualify for nationals.
Riggins took fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.22 seconds. Her season-best mark of 12.09 is tied for 36
th nationally.
Grill and Demko each placed in the 200-meter dash, Grill taking fifth in 25.05 and Demko tallying an eighth-place showing in 25.35.
Alli Uhl's personal-best 57.25 landed her in fifth place in the 400-meter dash, where Grill took sixth at 57.30. Uhl's time is 37
th in Division III this season, while Grill was already tied for 17
th with a season-best 56.48 from the NJAC outdoor meet. Competing in the event for the first time this spring,
Megan Gasnick ran a 58.51.
Kerri McCarthy led the shot put unit with a mark of 11.55 meters, good for 13
th place.
Edith Gonzalez (10.80m) and
Jessica Reilly (10.68m) also competed.
The Lions now await the announcement of NCAA qualifiers on Friday night.
