GENEVA, OHIO – The TCNJ women's track and field team closed its season with a pair of hard-luck relay performances on the third and final day of the NCAA Outdoor Championship at SPIRE Institute on Saturday.
The Lions ran into some tough luck on a day they were slated to have both the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays running for national titles.
Unfortunately, an injury prevented the 4x100 unit from finishing. The 4x400 relay, meanwhile, came back a few hours later and placed ninth in 3:49.30, just missing out on All-America honors. That unit consisted of
Alli Uhl,
Maria Grill,
Eliza Bruncaj, and
Megan Gasnick.
The Lions put a bow on a tremendous outdoor campaign, one that saw the squad qualify two relays and four individuals for the national meet.
Amanda Murillo earned All-America honors with an eighth-place finish in the javelin, and several TCNJ student-athletes made their NCAA Championship debuts.
