EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team swept all of its matches with Ithaca as part of the annual two-day Lions Invitational over the weekend.

The Lions won all four doubles courts and all nine singles matches against the Bombers on Saturday, but NYU returned the favor on Sunday by claiming every contested match.

Charlotte Roarty won a pair of tight matches against Ithaca, teaming with longtime partner Jenny Landells for an 8-6 victory opposite Taylor Crain and Lauren Rodriguez. Roarty then faced Crain in singles, outlasting the Bombers' top player for a thrilling 12-10 triumph in the pro-set tiebreaker.

Alexa Vasile and Chase Eisenberg downed Zoe Davis and Eliana Chelnick, 8-4, in doubles play, with Vasile defeating Rodriguez, 8-4, in individual action.

Anusha Rangu and Aira Abalos were dominant 8-1 winners in doubles. Rangu won her singles match, 8-2, and Abalos took down Davis by an 8-5 count.

Morgan Grimmie and Hannah Davis teamed for an 8-2 win against Sarah Kohberger and Sabrina Cheung. Grimmie proceeded to handle Cheung, 8-2, in singles, while Davis logged an 8-3 defeat of Caroline Herz.

Cassandra McDermott and Grace Hamburg each won their singles matches.

Landells and Davis each took their singles matches against NYU to a third set, but neither was able to break through in the super breaker. Davis came closest, but ultimately succumbed to a 10-8 decision.

TCNJ heads to Hamilton College next weeked for the ITA Northeast Regional.
