EWING, N.J. – TCNJ standout Nick Celli was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week following his record-setting performance in Saturday's 31-13 season-opening victory over Moravian.

Celli put together one of the most dominant defensive displays in program history, racking up 6.5 tackles for loss – believed to be a school record – and a pair of sacks as part of a seven-sack effort for the Lions. Celli's relentless backfield pressure accounted for 28 yards of losses for the Moravian offense and continually short-circuited the visitors' attack.

Also named NJAC Defensive Player of the Week, Celli is the first Lion to earn Team of the Week recognition from D3football.com since Zach Warcola in November of 2019.
