HAVERFORD, PA.- The TCNJ men's track team competed Saturday at the Seamus McElligot Invitational at Haverford College. Amongst a field of 15 other teams, the Lions put up some impressive numbers.

George Agyei-Sam was the highlight player of the day for the Lions, taking second and qualifying for regionals in the shot put. His throw of 14.35 meters is a new personal best for Agyei-Sam. Along with that, he also put up a personal best in the weight throw marking up a distance of 12.77 meters.

Vincent Rizzi had a strong showing in the long jump, leaping a distance of 6.03 meters. This mark was enough to earn himself fourth for the event.

Matthew Richardson ran his best time as a Lion in the 3000-meter run with a time of 9:12.61. Finishing directly behind him and also running a personal best time in the event was
Mart Villanueva who crossed the finish line at 9:13.16.

Freshman
Kevin Matthews led the way in his first mile run as a Lion, completing the race in 4:31.50. This impressive mark earned Matthews eighth place amongst the field of runners.

Another freshman in
Jayvee Dumas put up some personal bests of his own on Saturday. He took sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with his PR of 8.91 seconds. He also put up a personal best in the long jump with a distance of 5.75 meters.

Jason Engler had two more PRs to add to the list with his 7.20 second 60-meter dash and his mark of 11.3 meters in the shot put.

th St. Armory next Friday at 11AM for the Rutgers Open.
