NEW YORK, N.Y.- The TCNJ Men's indoor track team opened up their season at the TCNJ Winter Open on Saturday, putting up some impressive numbers in the process.

Freshman Jack Attali had quite the debut on Saturday, breaking the school record in the 300-meter run with a blazing time of 34.9 seconds. Along with that, he ran the second fastest 60-meter hurdles in DIII with a time of 8.18 seconds.

In the 60-meter hurdles, seniors Ray Schmit and
Justin Gomez qualified for regionals with times of 6.96 and 7.07 respectively. These times slotted them at fourth and sixth for the event.

Vincent Rizzi finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 6.52 meters in the season opener.

Junior
Stephen Daramola kicked off his season with a seventh-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 13.58 meters. Sophomore
Jayden Wright finished one spot behind him in eighth with a mark just one tenth of a meter behind Daramola.

The 4x400-meter team of
Jeffrey Heineman, Nathaniel Adams,
Tyrese Gilbert and Attali racked up a seventh-place finish on Saturday with a time of 3:29.47.

The Lions are back on the track next Saturday at Princeton University for the Joe Handelman Invitational.
