AUSTIN, TX.- The TCNJ track and field team had athletes running at the Texas Relays at the University of Texas this past weekend. The Lions showed out and put up some solid numbers amongst a field of schools across all Divisions that were worth highlighting.

Victoria Purritano and
Eliza Bruncaj both did great in the 100-meter hurdles. Purritano led the pace of 14.49 seconds with Bruncaj to follow at 14.66 seconds. These two times were good enough to be the fourth and fifth best times all time at TCNJ.

Ray Schmitt ran a personal best in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.80 seconds. This time is the sixth fastest in school history.

Jason Engler ran a personal best of his own in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.43 seconds.

Valandra Riggins and
Ashlyn MacLure ran their best opening races of their careers in the 100-meter dash. Riggins completed her 100 meters in 12.34 seconds while MacLure was shortly behind at a time of 12.65 seconds.

Each of the 4x100 meter relays for both the men and the women had solid races over the weekend.
Andrew Lodge,
Justin Gomez, Engler and Schmitt made up the relay that finished with a time of 42.86 seconds. The women's relay of MacLure, Bruncaj, Riggins and Purritano ran to the pace of 48.45 seconds.

TCNJ track will be back in Ewing this upcoming weekend for the TCNJ invitational starting Friday, April 7
th at 1PM.
