ORLANDO, Fla. – TCNJ senior women's tennis star Charlotte Roarty saw her remarkable career come to an end with a setback at the hands of Trinity's Ruth Hill in the first round of the NCAA Division III singles championship on Friday morning at the USTA National Campus.

Making her NCAA debut, Roarty dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision to Hill, a sophomore who plays No. 1 for the Tigers.

Roarty ended her tremendous career with 129 wins – 57 in singles and 72 in doubles, the vast majority of them coming alongside longtime partner Jenny Landells. Roarty and Landells were ITA Cup qualifiers last fall, placing 13^th in the nation and falling just shy of All-America honors.

Roarty was a three-time NJAC Player of the Year and a four-time All-NJAC honoree in both singles and doubles.
