EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team got its season off to a resounding start with a dominating performance against Stevens at the TCNJ Kickoff Tournament on Sunday.
 
Playing indoors, the Lions won 12 of 15 matches in a three-round doubles tournament with the Ducks.
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Aira Abalos, Zoey Albert, Ines Dominique, Chase Eisenberg, Priya Priyadarshini, Gabriella Robinson, and Marcella Warner all went 3-0 on the day for the Lions
• Nearly half (7) of the 15 doubles matches for the day were decided in a tiebreaker, and TCNJ went 6-1 in those deciding breakers. Robinson won a tiebreak in all three of her matches – one with Albert, one with Warner, and the last with Abalos. Priyadarshini and Abalos each went 2-0 in tiebreakers.

NOTES

• In addition to Albert, Dominique, Priyadarshini, Robinson, and Warner, first-years Mandy Fleischmann and Megan Pongrac each picked up their first collegiate victories for the young Lions
