BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The TCNJ women's cross country team placed 28th overall in the 6k at the Paul Short Invite on Saturday.
Competing among a field of 43 teams in the Brown race, which featured schools across all three NCAA divisions, the Lions rounded out their meet day in 10th place among Division III teams.
FINISH LINE SNAPSHOTS
- Freshman Naesha Gadie crossed the finish line first for the Lions with a time of 23:32.6 to place 124th. Her time marked the fastest NJAC time clocked by a freshman.
- Right behind the rookie was senior Cassidy Quinn, who finished her race just three spots behind Gadie with a time of 23:34.0.
- Finishing third for the Blue and Gold was senior Salini Lyer, who crossed the line in 171st with a time of 23:59.4.
- Sophomore Savannah Hodgens and senior Emily Hoegler finished one after the other to round out the top five, with Hodgens placing 215th with a time of 24:29.7 and Hoegler in 216th with a time of 23:31.0.
- Sophomore Alex Grivas and senior Katherine Rice took the final two spots of the top seven after clocking times of 24:38.3 and 24:54.8, respectively.
UP NEXT
The Lions head out to Newark next Saturday to race in the Highlander Invite at Branch Brook Park. The start time is scheduled for 10:15 AM.
