EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's swimming and diving team kicked off the new year by hosting a tri-meet against conference rival Kean and Division II Millersville at the TCNJ Aquatic Center on Saturday.

Bridget Cleveland, the Lions (1-4) had multiple notable races that included one individual event victory and 11 total individual top five finishers throughout the meet. The final scores of the tri-meet saw the blue and gold fall 184-75 to Millersville and 193-66 to Kean.
TOP-FIVE FINISHERS
- Burton began her day in the pool by winning the 200 free after touching first with her time of 2:02.06. The senior would follow up with a third place time of 2:18.87 in the 200 IM, and a fifth place finish in the 100 butterfly after touching in 1:04.30.
- Cleveland earned a pair of third place finishes in the backstroke events. Cleveland first took third in the 100 back with time of 1:03.18, before following up with a third place finishing time of 2:18.51 in the 200 back.
- Finishing fourth in the 1000 free, junior Ren Wolstenholme narrowly missed out on a top-three finish after being beat out by just two hundredths of a second with her time of 11:37.08.
- In the sprint free, the freshman duo of Mary Kate Owens and Katie Mazzacco each earned a top-five finish. The 50 free saw Kate Owens place fifth with her time of 27.05, while Mazzacco clocked the fourth-fastest time of 57.79 in the 100 free.
- Junior captain Colleen Scanlon finished fifth in the 200 back with a time of 2:22.57.
- In the 500 free, sophomore Katelyn Gaulin placed fourth after recording a time of 5:45.97.
- The 100 fly also saw sophomore Nisha Narayanan finish fourth with her time of 1:03.97.

The Lions returns to the TCNJ Aquatic Center next Friday in a home matchup against NJAC-rival Rowan starting at 2 PM.
