Women’s Swim Falls to Rowan in Road Matchup

GLASSBORO, N.J. — The TCNJ women's swimming and diving team fell on the road, 178-70, in a dual meet matchup against Rowan on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Lions (1-5) won one event and placed among the top-three ten total times in six events throughout the meet.
 
TOP-THREE FINISHERS
  • Two Lions placed among the top three for the 500 free, senior Sarah Burton secured the top place finish with a time of 5:26.78. Freshman Lilliana Kuball took third in the event with a mark of 5:36.42.
  • Sophomore Bridget Cleveland placed second in the 200 back by touching in 2:16.47. Right behind her was junior Colleen Scanlon in third with her time of 2:19.26.
  • The 100 fly saw sophomore Nisha Narayanan place second at 1:03.56, while freshman Katie Mazzacco trailed right behind in third with her time of 1:05.63.
  • Narayanan also placed second in the 200 IM, touching in with a time of 2:27.53. Junior Jillian Kenney took third with a mark of 2:39.44.
  • Kenney also finished second in the 200 breast with a time of 3:01.18.
  • Closing out the day, the Lions' 400 free relay team recorded a second best time of 3:51.69. The relay quartet consisted of Burton, Mackenzie Wall, Mazzacco and Cleveland.
 
RPI KUMPF INVITE
  • Competing separately on the boards, sophomore Beth Evaldi led the way with a pair of top five performances. Evaldi finished fourth in 1 meter with a score of 245.70, and secured a fifth place finish for 3 meters with a mark of 219.10.
 
UP NEXT
The Lions will close out the dual meet portion of the schedule next Saturday, when the blue and gold hosts Montclair State for Senior Day. Start time is scheduled for 1 PM.
