UNION, N.J. – Shaye Bundonis led the TCNJ women's swimming team with a split in a tri-meet between Bryn Mawr and host Kean on Friday evening.
The Lions bested Bryn Mawr, 182-78, but fell to the host Cougars, 178.50-81.50.
Bundonis had the lone TCNJ win in the 100 back, where she tied for first place, and was also a part of two runner-up relay finishes for the Lions.
Katie Mazzacco and
Lilliana Kuball each finished with a pair of runner-up individual finishes and one relay finish.
Bridget Cleveland was a runner-up in the 200 back and was part of both second-place relays on the day.
STELLAR RACES
- Bundonis won her race in a dead heat with a Bryn Mawr swimmer in the 100 back with a 1:01.82 time, while also being a part of two runner-up relays in the 200 medley and 400 free
- Mazzacco finished second in a pair of freestyle races clocking in at 2:02.14 in the 200 and 57.67 in the 100, while also helping the 400 free relay to second place
- Kuball finished second in the 100 breast (1:08.91) and the 200 IM (2:14.69), while also helping the 200 medley relay to a runner-up finish
- Cleveland finished second in the 200 back (2:16.78), and was a part of both second-place relays (200 medley and 400 free)
- In addition to Bundonis, Kuball and Cleveland, the second-place 200 medley relay (1:53.97) also included Colleen Scanlon
- In addition to Bundonis, Mazzacco and Cleveland the second-place 400 free relay (3:53.73) also included Mary Kate Owens
- Sarah Mandy rounded out the runner-up Lion finishes in the 500 free (5:34.38)
