GALLOWAY, N.J. – The TCNJ men's cross country team had five runners perform to all-region recognition at the NCAA Metro Region Championship on Saturday.
Matt Granizo,
Roman Fabbricatore,
Kevin Matthews,
Michael Rodriguez, and
Phil Pace all placed in the top-35 at Stockton's 8-kilometer course, officially locking up all-region honors.
TCNJ finished fifth in the team standings with 121 total points, trailing Moravian (29), Rowan (61), Haverford (89), and Swarthmore (113).
Granizo secured his third career All-Metro Region accolade with a season-best 25:30.1 to place 19
th overall, his best mark since taking 16
th at last year's regional race with a 25:27.0.
Fabbricatore logged a personal-best 25:40.3 to finish 22
nd and collect his first career all-region award.
Matthews made it back-to-back all-region seasons with a big PR of 25:42.7, good for 24
th overall.
Rodriguez finished in 25:47.2 to take 29
th and repeat on the All-Metro Region roster, while NJAC Rookie of the Year
Phil Pace was right behind him with a 25:48.5 (30
th), a PR by more than 30 seconds.
