EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ men's cross country team placed runner-up for the third consecutive year at the NJAC Championship on Saturday.

Brandon Chen led the way with a third-place individual finish for the Lions, who hosted the meet at their Green Lane course.

Last fall's NJAC Rookie of the Meet, Chen ran the 8k course in 25:22.5, landing behind only Rowan's Joshua Cason and Stockton's Erik Ackerman.

Roman Fabbricatore was next across with a career-best 25:46.8, good for 10th overall. He'll be joined on the All-NJAC Team by Kevin Matthews (26:06.7) and Michael Rodriguez (26:08.5), who occupied the last two spots on the 14-team all-league roster.

Matt Granizo was just outside the all-conference cut-off, finishing 15th at 26:11.9, while Phil Pace was the conference's top rookie with a personal-best 26:22.9 to take 17th.

Anthony Guarino completed the Lions' top-seven with a time of 26:39.0, good for a PR and 19th overall.

The Lions will compete at the NCAA Metro Region Championship on November 16.
