Over the weekend, the TCNJ men's track team was fully engaged, with members participating in both the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University and the Big Apple Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y. The Lions displayed impressive performances at both meets, worthy of recognition.

DAVID HEMERY VALENTINE INVITATIONAL (BOSTON, MA.)
- Justin Gomez had an impressive meet in Boston, seizing fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.03 seconds. He also ran a personal best in the 200-meter dash, running to the tune of 22.14.
- A fraction of a second ahead of Gomez in the 200-meter was Jack Attali, who ran 22.02. The freshman also ran 8.38 in the 60-meter hurdles.
- Freshman Lucas Lattimer ran a near personal best in the 800, crossing the finish line at 2:00.70.

BIG APPLE INVITATIONAL (STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.)
- Kevin Matthews highlighted the Lions on Saturday, claiming fourth in the 1000-meter run. The time of 2:35.57 is a personal best for the sophomore.
- Continuing his strong season, Zach Mackiewicz took a fifth-place finish in the weight throw after a mark of 16.08 meters.
- Steve Daramola was shortly behind Mackiewicz in the shot put, taking seventh at 15.66 meters. He also threw to a 15th place finish in the weight throw after a distance of 13.77 meters.
- George Agyei-Sam finished just ahead of Daramola in the weight throw, finishing ninth after a heave of 14.26 meters.
- Freshman David Keefe was solid in the 800-meter run, claiming 13th place with a personal best time of 1:59.14.

The Lions track and field team will take the week to rest up for the NJAC Championships on Monday, February 19 at 4:00 PM.
